New York Sour
A New York Sour is a whiskey sour with a red wine float. It is made with whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, and a float of dry red wine.
Ingredients
- 2 fl oz. rye whiskey
- 1 fl oz. fresh lemon juice
- 0.75 fl oz. simple syrup
- 0.5 fl oz. dry red wine
Directions
- 1Combine whiskey, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a shaker with ice.
- 2Shake well and strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
- 3Float red wine on top by pouring over the back of a spoon.
- 4Garnish with orange half-wheel and cherry.
