Penicillin
The Penicillin is a modern classic cocktail made with blended Scotch, lemon juice, honey-ginger syrup, and Islay single malt Scotch. It was invented by Sam Ross at Milk & Honey in New York City.
Ingredients
- 2 fl oz. blended Scotch whisky
- 0.75 fl oz. fresh lemon juice
- 0.75 fl oz. honey-ginger syrup
- 0.25 fl oz. Islay single malt Scotch
Directions
- 1Combine blended Scotch, lemon juice, and honey-ginger syrup in a shaker with ice.
- 2Shake well and strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
- 3Float Islay Scotch on top.
- 4Garnish with candied ginger.
