Fancy Whiskey Cocktail
A gilded 19th-century cocktail — rye or bourbon with curaçao, simple syrup, and bitters, shaken not stirred.
Ingredients
- 2 fl oz. bourbon or rye
- 0.25 fl oz. orange curaçao
- 0.25 fl oz. simple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
Directions
- 1Combine bourbon, curaçao, simple syrup, and bitters in a shaker with ice.
- 2Shake briefly until chilled.
- 3Strain into a chilled coupe.
- 4Garnish with a lemon twist.
