Smoked Old Fashioned
A theatrical cocktail that adds smoky drama to the classic Old Fashioned by smoking the glass with wood chips before adding the drink.
Ingredients
- 2 fl oz. bourbon
- 0.25 fl oz. simple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 chip cherry or applewood for smoking
Directions
- 1Smoke a rocks glass using a smoking gun or wooden chip under a cloche.
- 2Combine bourbon, simple syrup, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
- 3Stir until well chilled.
- 4Strain into the smoked glass over a large ice cube and garnish with an orange twist.
