Smoked Old Fashioned

A theatrical cocktail that adds smoky drama to the classic Old Fashioned by smoking the glass with wood chips before adding the drink.

  1. 1Smoke a rocks glass using a smoking gun or wooden chip under a cloche.
  2. 2Combine bourbon, simple syrup, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
  3. 3Stir until well chilled.
  4. 4Strain into the smoked glass over a large ice cube and garnish with an orange twist.
