A dry, refreshing highball of bourbon or rye with fresh lime juice and soda water — no sweetener.

  1. 1Fill a highball glass with ice.
  2. 2Add bourbon and squeeze in fresh lime, dropping the shell in.
  3. 3Top with soda water and stir gently.
  4. 4Garnish with a lime wheel.
