Harvard Cocktail
A 19th-century brandy and sweet vermouth cocktail with grenadine and soda — genteel and balanced.

Ingredients
- 1.5 fl oz. brandy
- 0.75 fl oz. sweet vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 tsp. grenadine
- 1 splash soda water
Directions
- 1Combine brandy, sweet vermouth, bitters, and grenadine in a shaker with ice.
- 2Shake until chilled.
- 3Strain into a highball glass over ice.
- 4Top with soda water and garnish with a lemon twist.
