Singapore Sling

The Singapore Sling is a gin-based cocktail from Singapore. It was developed sometime before 1915 by Ngiam Tong Boon, a bartender at the Long Bar at Raffles Hotel.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 fl oz. gin
  • 0.5 fl oz. cherry liqueur
  • 0.25 fl oz. Cointreau
  • 0.25 fl oz. Benedictine
  • 4 fl oz. pineapple juice
  • 0.5 fl oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

Directions

  1. 1Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
  2. 2Shake well and strain into a highball glass over ice.
  3. 3Garnish with pineapple slice and cherry.
