Old Cuban
A sophisticated cocktail by Audrey Saunders combining aged rum, Champagne, and mint for a drink that bridges the Mojito and French 75.

Ingredients
- 1.5 fl oz. aged rum
- 0.75 fl oz. fresh lime juice
- 0.75 fl oz. simple syrup
- 6 leaves fresh mint
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 fl oz. Champagne
Directions
- 1Muddle mint with simple syrup and bitters in a shaker.
- 2Add rum, lime juice, and ice.
- 3Shake vigorously and double strain into a chilled coupe.
- 4Top with Champagne and garnish with a mint sprig.
